LATE

I came into the whole story a bit late. Things were already going wrong – too much rain at the wrong time, possible pandemics, potential panic, fashion had really gone down hill and it was hard to find two people who knew the same tune. On the streets people had lost the ability to move smooth, to weave. They only had the forward button and the eyes had been blinkered by screen effect- they could only fix on a target and click their heels. It was great fun but it didn’t make the street work well.

Hard to find a bit of stillness on this bit of the page. It was all electric tremor and over wired walks  wanting and not having all over the place.

I saw pictures of some earlier chapter and the crowd. The crowd. They stood so still. They had so much going on inside their bodies which were thick with experience and still with time.
